FAQ

HOW ARE TRAUMAS RUN?

Traumas are run completely by EM residents. A PGY-2 EM resident manages the trauma service. When a trauma is activated, the trauma resident as well as 1-2 EM residents working in the ED meet in the trauma bay and run the resuscitation. EM residents manage the airway and complete all procedures. There are no competing services for trauma resuscitations or procedures.
