OUR LADY OF
THE LAKE
REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center (OLOLRMC) serves as the main training site for our residents. 

 

A general medical and surgical hospital established in 1923, OLOLRMC is the largest private medical center in Louisiana with over 850 licensed beds. It's the region's only Level 1 Trauma Center and had over 100,000 ED visits this past year. The ED was recently renovated with >70 adult beds in 4 different treatment areas. 

OLOLRMC is the area Comprehensive Stroke Center with24-hour thrombectomy capability, Regional Vascular Center, Heart Center with 24-hour cath lab capability, and has it's own Cancer Center. OLOLRMC also provides our community with a neuro-trauma intensive care unit and is the only hospital in the region that provides neurosurgical services on a 24/7 basis.

BATON ROUGE
GENERAL

The Baton Rouge General Medical Center (BRG) dates back to 1908 when it first opened its doors as "The Sanitarium." Over the next several decades, BRGMC expanded to include two campuses, Mid-City and Bluebonnet. 

 

BRG also serves as the region's only verified burn center and provides real "community" emergency medicine experience. Residents will rotate through both the ED and adult ICU at the Bluebonnet location during their training. This community ED sees >40,000 adult and pediatric visits per year.

CHILDREN'S
HOSPITAL

OLOL Children's Hospital (OLOLCH) opened its doors in October of 2019. There are a total of 93 beds in the entire hospital including ICU beds. The ED consists of 23 private treatment rooms, 2 critical care bays, and 1 trauma bay. OLOLCH is the region's only 24/7 pediatric emergency department and is a level 2 trauma center with >40,000 visits every year. Residents will rotate through both the emergency department and pediatric ICU. 

HOSPITAL
WOMAN'S

Woman's Hospital was one of the first hospitals to provide specialty women's services in the U.S. It ranks 17th in the nation in total births with more than 8,000 deliveries each year. Residents will work along side OB/GYN house staff and attendings on the Labor & Delivery floor in addition to seeing patients in the Assessment Center/ED.
