VISIT

BATON ROUGE

DOWNTOWN

Welcome to the "Red Stick"! Located on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River, Baton Rouge is the capital and second-largest city in Louisiana. With over 300 years of rich history and culture, there's always something for you to do. Come downtown and visit the tallest State Capitol Building in the U.S. Or walk a few more blocks and visit the Shaw Center, a center for art, music, dancing, and dining.

FOOD and DRINKS

We'd be absolutely remiss if there we didn't mention the Cajun cuisine that is a huge part of Louisiana culture. But that's not all this city has to offer! There's a diverse mix of everything from Vietnamese to Mediterranean to Mexican, enough to satisfy any foodie out there.

RECREATION

Known as the "Sportman's Paradise," Louisiana has much to offer in terms of outdoors activity. Come visit one of the many BREC parks for kayaking, fishing, golfing, or running. Or travel an hour outside of the city to surrounding national forests and parks for camping and hiking!

To live in Baton Rouge is to know this: There is no place like it. This city is one of a kind. This city is ours. Make it your own. Make it home.
